Faith in Action

We each have a calling. We each have a vocation.

Charitable Giving                Listening                Preparing                Working                Displaying Values and Virtues

Learning                Responding              Mission

Mini Vinnies

Our Minnie Vinnies Team created Christmas cards to be sent to Local Care Homes and our Parish Community

Our Class Liturgies

We have a Class Liturgy lead by our Spiritual Leaders each week. This week ours was about Vocation. We are always working to deepen our faith and commit ourselves to service. God has a plan for us.

One Life Advent Retreat

We sang songs and lit candles. The songs reminded up of how we can see Christ as the light of the word and use this time to prepare for his coming. We loved hearing about what Advent means to Dan and Emily from One Life Music.

Year 3 Liturgy for the start of Advent

Year 3 recorded a liturgy for the start of Advent. We learnt all about the signs and symbols that tell us we have just moved into Advent. We also know that this is a time for preparation. We shared the videos with our families at home so they could be a part of this special moment.

Lest we Forget - Remembrance day 2020-21

We live streamed a liturgy from our prayer garden. Each child from every class painted poppies that we then used to create wreaths to place into our special prayer Garden. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember.

Expressing emotions from Parables

Using colour and dance, our children explored the emotions of characters within our important parables.

Listening to Readings from the Quran

We loved having the chance to ask questions about the faith of Islam. Our children are so passionate and eager to share.

Year 4 Harvest Festival Assembly

An Assembly recorded for our whole school community and Parish. We collected food to share with the Stoke food bank and school food bank.

Celebrating the Solemnity of our Lord through Liturgy

We gathered as a whole school to discuss this special Feast Day. Christ our King.

Ten:ten - Teaching Relationships and Health/Sex Education which is rooted in the teaching of the Catholic Church

Our children love engaging with this fantastic program to deepen their learning of being created to love ourselves and others. They used the characters Sophie and Aiden to create real life scenarios for discussion.

Exploring our Sacred Book through Drama

We used drama to explore the oppression of the Israelites while they were Slaves -  The story of Moses.

Adoremus

We prepared for Adoremus in a service with Archbishop Bernard. We then went over to Church to adore our Lord.

Mustard Seed Whole School Retreat - Rise Theatre

Rise Theater came into school and we completed different creative activities linking to the Parable of the Mustard seed. We then came together and had a creative liturgy using all of our incredible creative work.

Building a Church

FS2 built their own Church out of construction and held a small prayer service. Well done FS2!

Hymn Practice

Hymn Practice led by Mrs Davies. We pray through singing.

Remembrance Sunday

On Remembrance Sunday our school supported the community by joining the Remembrance Parade.

Christingle

We celebrate the birth of our Lord at Christmas through holding a service with songs and prayers.

We celebrate at Christmas and raise money together. Santa came to see the children.

Sacramental Preparation

First Holy Communion Preparation led by Moria and Ann Hewetson.

Rosary Club

Every Wednesday this is led by the Parish so our children can pray with Mary our Mother.

Harvest Festival
